Rashid Johnson's new paintings, bronze sculptures, works on paper, and 35mm film draw upon the mood and lyrics of the Fats Waller jazz song “Black and Blue”; the show also includes sounds and images connected to his other works, such as photography books, novels, African sculptures, oyster shells, and branded wood.
