13 WOMEN, California Biennial 2022: Pacific Gold, and Fred Eversley: Reflecting Back (the World) at Orange County Museum of Art from Sat, Oct 8, 2022 to Sun, Jan 15, 2023 ( Exhibition )

13 Women marks the museum’s 60th anniversary and pays homage to the artists who founded the Balboa Pavilion Gallery, OCMA’s predecessor institution, in 1962, including Alice Aycock, Lee Bul, Barbara Kruger, Joan Brown, Vija Celmins, Mary Corse, and Mary Heilmann.

Curated by the museum’s CEO and Director Heidi Zuckerman. Through August 20, 2023.

The museum is reviving the California Biennial with artists from across the state.

Organized by former OCMA curator Elizabeth Armstrong—who curated the California Biennial in 2002, 2004, and 2006—with Essence Harden, Visual Arts Curator at the California African American Museum, and Gilbert Vicario, Chief Curator at the Phoenix Art Museum. Through February 26, 2023.

Fred Eversley: Reflecting Back (the World) expands on the 1976 exhibition of his work at OCMA (then known as the Newport Harbor Art Museum).
